Software Engineer II – AI/ML

Key responsibilities

• Implement well‑scoped features and components for agents, copilots, and platform services, with guidance from senior engineers and our architect.
• Write clean, tested code and build evaluations that verify agent behavior before and after shipping.
• Integrate tools and data sources into agentic workflows using open standards such as the Model Context Protocol.
• Contribute to the internal AI platform, including agent runtimes, model access, evaluation harnesses, and developer tooling.
• Apply modern AI engineering practices—prompting, retrieval‑augmented generation, tool use, evaluation‑first development, and observability for nondeterministic outputs.
• Partner with teammates and business stakeholders to translate requirements into working software, participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on‑call duties.

Required profile

• Roughly 1–3 years of software engineering experience or a strong new graduate with relevant internships or projects.
• Solid fundamentals in at least one production language (Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java) and willingness to work across the stack.
• Hands‑on exposure to LLMs, prompting, retrieval, agents, and tool use through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Growth mindset: asks good questions, learns fast, and moves without waiting for perfect information.
• Clear communication skills for explaining work to engineers and non‑technical stakeholders across time zones.
