About the role

Mastercard’s Payment Networks team is seeking a Software Engineer I to drive customer experience strategy through innovative Java backend solutions. You will work in a cloud‑native, CI/CD environment within a Scaled Agile Framework.

Key responsibilities

Develop high‑quality Java applications using Spring Boot and event‑driven architecture.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and leverage cloud frameworks for deployment.
Choose appropriate persistence mechanisms (RDBMS, NoSQL) based on business needs.
Conduct proofs‑of‑concept and ensure code quality through best‑practice gates.
Collaborate with cross‑functional Mastercard groups to deliver project success.

Required profile

0.5–1.5 years of relevant experience.
Strong object‑oriented design and programming skills.
Passion for technology and continuous learning.
Effective communication and teamwork in an Agile setting.
