Software Engineer I – Front End Development (Node/React)

About the role

Deloitte Digital is looking for a Software Engineer I to join its Front End Development team. You will work on creating responsive, component‑based web applications that power client experiences across a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Translate wireframes, mockups and requirements into clean, maintainable code.
• Develop rich GUI websites that work seamlessly across devices.
• Build and maintain component‑based architectures using frameworks such as React, Angular, Ember or Vue.
• Utilise templating engines to streamline development.
• Scaffold new web applications and configure server environments.
• Write unit and end‑to‑end tests following Test‑Driven Development principles.
• Design and implement APIs in a server‑side language of choice.
• Collaborate on end‑to‑end application architecture and cloud deployment.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and convert designs into production‑ready code.
• Experience with component‑based frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, Vue).
• Familiarity with templating engines and web‑app scaffolding.
• Knowledge of Test‑Driven Development and automated testing.
• Understanding of full‑stack architecture, Node ecosystem, and database concepts.
• Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Continuous learner who stays updated with emerging technologies.
