Software Engineer – Digital Hub

About the role

Join the BASF Digital Hub in Hyderabad as a Software Engineer. You will work in an agile team developing innovative digital solutions for the chemical industry, focusing on master data management and SAP integration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support by analysing incidents and problems.
• Develop and test new features from user stories within an agile framework.
• Guide, coach and train team members on module competencies.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, IT or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in software development or master data management.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Required skills

• STIBO Systems STEP software.
• Data model adaptation and business rule creation.
• Integration scenario design and implementation with SAP S/4.
