Software Engineer (AI‑augmented Development)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer who leverages AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and build scalable systems. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI, focusing on practical integration rather than pure research.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality web and backend applications.
• Design scalable, testable code and troubleshoot bugs.
• Use AI assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to generate, optimise and debug code.
• Automate repetitive tasks and create internal workflows with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Integrate AI components such as chatbots or copilots into products.
• Collaborate with product, design and data teams to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Evaluate when AI assistance is beneficial versus manual coding.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience developing software with at least one major language.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases and cloud platforms.

Required skills

• JavaScript (Node.js, React) or Python or Java or Go.
• SQL and relational database experience.
• REST and GraphQL API design.
• Cloud services: AWS, GCP or Azure.
• AI development tools: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT.
• LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
