Software Engineer – AI-Powered Developer Platforms

About the role

Microsoft’s CoreAI division is looking for a Software Engineer to help build AI‑powered developer tools and services that empower millions of builders worldwide. You will join the Developer Platforms team to design, develop, and operate core platform services that span the entire application lifecycle, from code management to cloud deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AI‑driven cloud services that support developer and enterprise workflows.
• Develop cloud‑to‑edge platform capabilities, including Azure resource providers, data‑plane integrations, and portal experiences.
• Create AI‑enabled engineering systems to improve testing efficiency, quality analysis, incident triage, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate with product, security, and reliability teams to ensure enterprise‑grade trust, privacy, and compliance.
• Maintain end‑to‑end ownership of services, from architecture and implementation to deployment and live‑site operations.

Required profile

• Strong background in building large‑scale cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience delivering reliable, secure, and high‑performance services at global scale.
