Software Development Engineer II

About the role

The client is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to drive AI‑enabled innovation across the development lifecycle while providing first‑level support for merchandising applications. You will collaborate with multiple development teams, design serverless solutions, and embed Generative AI capabilities into the software delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop monitoring solutions and implement AI‑driven development practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix internally developed code using Java, React, and related technologies.
• Design and implement distributed systems with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Build and maintain GenAI‑based solutions within the SDLC.
• Work alongside corporate and divisional software projects, automating support processes and maintaining documentation.

Required profile

• Computer Science degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience with AWS and AI‑driven development practices.

Required skills

• GenAI technologies and integration into the SDLC.
• Distributed systems architecture.
• AWS serverless stack (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Proficiency in Java and React.
• Experience with Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/Linux.
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML SDLC tools.
• Microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
