Software Development Engineer II – AI Solutions

About the role

Swiggy is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to join the Central AI team. You will embed with product and operations teams across the company, building AI‑driven prediction and automation systems that run at scale in real‑world environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business domains (Instamart, Food, Dineout, Customer Support) to identify high‑impact AI problems.
• Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems for availability prediction, inventory forecasting, and automated operations.
• Build MCP server integrations that connect AI models to Swiggy’s operational platforms.
• Create evaluation frameworks to measure AI impact in production.
• Develop reusable skill and sub‑agent libraries for cross‑team consumption.
• Rotate across domains every ~3 months, delivering production‑ready solutions each cycle.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience shipping AI‑driven production systems that improve key business metrics.
• Hands‑on experience with advanced context engineering, evaluation frameworks, and agent orchestration patterns.
• Ability to bridge the gap between prototype and large‑scale deployment under latency and cost constraints.
• First‑principles thinker who can re‑imagine existing workflows in an AI‑native way.
• Proven track record of delivering end‑to‑end AI solutions (code repository, deployment details, before/after metrics).
