Software Development Engineer – EU Emerging Markets

About the role

Join Amazon's EU INTech E3 team to build next‑generation e‑commerce experiences for emerging European markets. As a Software Development Engineer you will work on greenfield projects that directly influence how millions of customers shop across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full agile software development life‑cycle: design, architecture, coding, testing and operations.
• Develop end‑to‑end solutions for multi‑store selection platforms, inventory placement strategies and innovative delivery models.
• Collaborate with engineers in Hyderabad and Luxembourg on high‑impact initiatives with a potential $9.8 B five‑year impact.
• Own the technical quality of your code through reviews, source‑control management and build processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability and scaling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Passion for solving complex, customer‑centric problems and working with global teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• Experience with design patterns.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering and system scaling.
• Full‑stack development experience covering coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations.
