Software Development Engineer 2 (Python/Frappe/ERPNext)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 with 3–7 years of experience to own and deliver features on the Frappe Framework and ERPNext platform. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to build scalable business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Frappe Framework.
• Build and customize ERPNext modules, workflows, reports, dashboards, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimise performance.
• Participate in technical design discussions and solution architecture.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards.
• Mentor junior developers through reviews, debugging, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Solid understanding of MariaDB/MySQL and database design.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Frappe client‑side scripting.
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
• Good grasp of application security, performance optimisation, and debugging.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
