Social Studies Teacher

About the role

Manthan International School is looking for a dedicated Social Studies Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' analytical, interpretive, and geographical skills. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, parents, and coordinators to support integrated learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons using interactive methods such as maps, charts, and experiential learning.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback to students and parents, and support learners with gaps or special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and parents for integrated learning experiences.
• Participate in training, workshops, and staff meetings for professional growth.
• Maintain student records, discipline, and adherence to school policies.
• Prepare students for internal assessments, Checkpoint exams, and school‑based evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a social science discipline (History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, etc.) – B.Ed. preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of teaching experience at the school level.
• Strong conceptual understanding and good communication and classroom management skills.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to handle diverse learners.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with digital teaching tools.
