SOC Intern – Security Operations Center

About the role

This internship provides hands‑on experience within a Security Operations Center (SOC). You will support the monitoring of security events, assist in incident triage, and contribute to the overall security posture of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alerts from IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions and investigate potential incidents.
• Perform initial triage of security incidents, classify severity, and prioritize response.
• Analyze events to identify patterns, trends, and emerging threats.
• Document incidents, actions taken, findings, and resolutions in detailed records.
• Communicate incident updates to the customer’s IT team and escalate when necessary.
• Manage and ensure proper functioning of security monitoring tools.
• Assist in vulnerability identification, reporting, and escalation for remediation.
• Support security awareness initiatives and help educate employees on best practices.
• Verify that security activities comply with regulatory and industry standards.
