Skywise Developer – Data Engineering & Visualization

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Skywise Developer to join its Skywise team in Bangalore. The role combines data engineering, visualization and application development on the Foundry platform to enable Airbus’s data‑value chain across its divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build data engineering pipelines, integration flows and visualisation solutions on the Skywise Foundry platform.
• Develop applications within the Skywise framework to support business processes.
• Collaborate with product owners and Airbus business units to capture requirements and translate them into data‑driven solutions.
• Participate in the full delivery lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, documentation and support.
• Troubleshoot issues, handle incidents and provide ongoing maintenance for the tools you create.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate or graduate in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑6 years of experience in data engineering and visualisation, preferably on the Foundry platform.
• Strong understanding of software development concepts and design principles.
• Experience working in SAFe, Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.

Required skills

• Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Skywise fundamentals: code repository, data lineage, pipeline builder, access management, Slate, Workshop, Ontology Manager.
• Version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Artifactory, Jira, Confluence.
• Cloud platform AWS (preferred).
• Test‑driven development practices.
