Site Manager – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Siemens Ltd. is seeking a Site Manager to lead Operations & Maintenance activities for electrical power infrastructure across India. You will be the single point of contact for the site, overseeing the transition from project mobilization to the hand‑over of the O&M contract to the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a maintenance team to meet objectives, drive continuous improvement and ensure best‑practice results.
• Monitor and control tools, equipment, spares, budgets and site contracts.
• Establish, implement and train on maintenance guidelines; assess procedures and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality, environmental standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders; handle escalations and vendor performance.
• Oversee order hand‑over, understand scope of work, and review technical documents (SLD, GA, schematics).
• Prepare O&M billing, obtain approvals and manage labour law and HR compliance matters.

Required profile

• Willingness to be permanently stationed on site across India as the Siemens SPOC.
• Strong understanding of customer requirements and effective communication with all parties.
• In‑depth knowledge of unloading, lifting, shifting and installing heavy equipment such as transformers and panels.
• Excellent planning, problem‑solving and conflict‑management abilities.
• Capability to independently manage the entire site, including contractor manpower.
• Positive, proactive “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MV/LV panels, transformers, cables, cable trays and switchgears
• Ability to read and interpret single‑line diagrams (SLD), general arrangement (GA) and schematics
• EHS certification and supervisory license for Maharashtra (where applicable)
