Site Manager / Construction Manager

About the role

The Site Manager / Construction Manager will lead the execution of chemical and specialty‑chemical projects in Vadodara. Reporting to the client, you will oversee contractor selection, coordinate design constructability, and ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the client in finalising contractors and material vendors.
• Guide the project team on constructability issues during the design phase.
• Monitor project cost, demand forecasts and schedule to guarantee timely execution.
• Organise and lead progress meetings with contractors, client and offshore teams.
• Review and certify contractor bills and track quantities against the BOQ.
• Define RACI roles for the construction management team and deploy joint resources.
• Implement the EHS plan and construction quality system, ensuring full compliance.
• Prepare fortnightly backlog, look‑ahead plans and catch‑up actions for critical activities.
• Coordinate design queries with offshore PM/EM and provide regular status updates to all stakeholders.
• Manage change requests, escalation procedures and enforce statutory health, safety and environmental regulations on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience on chemical or specialty‑chemical construction projects.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
