Shop/Plan Operator – Entry Level

About the role

Join Baker Hughes as a Shop/Plan Operator – Entry Level and support daily plant operations to ensure reliable and consistent production. You will work on service shops, assembling and testing control valves and related components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily plant operations, maintaining reliability and consistency on the production line.
• Assemble and test control valves and accessories.
• Conduct pre‑job duties, machine inspections, and tester checks according to checklists.
• Maintain workstations, records, and required communications.
• Voucher worked hours for assigned manufacturing activities.
• Prepare control valves and sub‑assembly parts for shipment.
• Follow shop‑floor policies on shift schedules, lunch breaks, and PPE usage.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures.
• Proactive “can‑do” attitude.
• Basic awareness of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Capability to report safety, quality, and routing issues to a supervisor.
• Commitment to Baker Hughes HSE policies and legal compliance.
