Shift Leader – Production

About the role

ABB is looking for a Shift Leader to supervise production teams in its Electrification business, Distribution Solutions division in Nashik, India. You will ensure smooth operation of machinery, equipment and assembly lines while supporting continuous improvement and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor shift team progress against work plans and adjust resources for vacations, illnesses, machine outages or priority changes.
• Provide regular feedback to management on production line organization, shifting priorities and critical situations.
• Coordinate and oversee shift orders, work‑plan execution and quality compliance on the shop floor.
• Lead the team in resolving technical, quality and logistic issues during the shift.
• Collaborate with the unit supervisor to maintain an effective work environment and reinforce production schedules.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical engineering also considered).
• 3–4 years of experience in production planning, assembly‑line management and shift handling.
• Strong knowledge of material management and manufacturing processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and continuous‑improvement practices.
• Good vendor management and customer handling abilities.
