Service Delivery Manager - Payroll

About the role

The Service Delivery Manager – Payroll will own end‑to‑end payroll and reward delivery for multiple countries as they transition to Bureau Veritas' new HR Shared Services hub in Noida. You will lead the migration from local vendors to a consolidated model, ensuring accurate, on‑time payments throughout the transition and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the payroll transition roadmap country by country, manage knowledge transfer, run parallel payroll runs and oversee vendor consolidation.
• Act as Global Process Owner for Reward to Pay (R2P), maintaining process standards, global pay calendar, and change control.
• Ensure zero critical payroll errors per cycle through pre‑payroll reconciliations, dual approvals and post‑pay checks.
• Monitor data flows between HRIS, time‑and‑attendance, payroll engines and the general ledger, resolving interface issues before cut‑off.
• Build and maintain the R2P control framework, lead audit readiness and ensure statutory compliance across all jurisdictions.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardising pay elements, automating reconciliations with RPA and promoting employee self‑service.
• Recruit, onboard and develop the tower team, manage performance cycles and maintain high engagement and low attrition.

Required profile

• 15+ years in HR operations with at least 8 years leading multi‑country payroll.
• Experience delivering at least one large‑scale payroll transition or vendor consolidation into a shared services centre.
• Managed payroll for 10,000+ employees across multiple jurisdictions.
• Master’s degree in HR, Finance, Business or related field.

Required skills

• Deep multi‑country payroll expertise (gross‑to‑net, statutory deductions, tax, social security, year‑end).
• Payroll vendor and aggregator management (e.g., ADP, Ramco, Alight).
• Payroll controls, SOX‑style frameworks and audit management.
• Integration of HRIS (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) with time‑and‑payroll systems and interface monitoring.
• Payroll accounting, GL reconciliation and benefits administration.
• Automation tools such as RPA and analytics for reconciliations and reporting.
