Senior/Lead Designer – XC-CP Mechanics

About the role

The Senior/Lead Designer – XC-CP Mechanics will lead the mechanical design of automotive interior components, driving new product development from concept through production. The role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure feasibility, manufacturability and optimal tooling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new product development for automotive interior components.
• Create part models, detailed drawings and assemblies using UG NX.
• Design and develop plastic, sheet‑metal and die‑cast components.
• Conduct feasibility studies, generate concepts and evaluate alternatives.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and develop tooling strategies.
• Manage projects, timelines and stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• B.Tech degree.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in UG NX for part modeling, drawing and assembly creation.
• Experience with design and development of plastic, sheet‑metal and die‑cast components.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and tooling development.
• Project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
