Senior Specialist, Software Engineering

About the role

Based in Hyderabad, you will join a global healthcare biopharma leader with a 130‑year legacy. The team drives digital transformation, using data, analytics and custom software to tackle some of the world’s greatest health challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services (Python, TypeScript) and frontend applications (React, TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Write efficient, maintainable code following software‑engineering best practices.
• Utilise DevSecOps tools for versioning, CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (AWS).
• Deliver enterprise AI projects with a focus on scalability and reusability.
• Conduct technical pilots, feasibility studies and transition successful pilots to production.
• Build integrations with external applications and services.
• Create automated testing pipelines and provide second‑level support for releases.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with product managers, data scientists and other engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on coding and software design experience building robust, scalable systems.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, REST APIs, and TypeScript/JavaScript (React).
• Experience building data‑intensive applications on AWS, including data pipelines and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Strong background in CI/CD, test‑driven development and version‑control systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Understanding of system integration patterns and automated testing strategies.
