Senior Specialist - Legal

About the role

The Senior Specialist will support Marsh’s operating companies with legal issues, promote compliance with laws, regulations and ethical standards, and address public policy matters that affect the business. You will work across multiple regions, providing risk‑management solutions and ensuring contractual consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Review and redline contracts and agreements for Marsh businesses across various regions.
• Understand operational procedures and regulatory frameworks governing each area.
• Advise business units on contractual clauses, legal risks and jurisdiction‑specific requirements.
• Interact with stakeholders to capture delivery requirements and ensure high‑quality outputs.
• Escalate critical issues to senior decision‑makers using sound judgement.
• Participate actively in team meetings and maintain a comprehensive work tracker.
• Provide support to team members as needed and share regular legal updates.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Law.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in contract abstraction, drafting and redlining.
• Experience working in‑house or at a reputable law firm with responsibility for reviewing and drafting legal documentation.
• Proven ability to handle contract reviews, drafting and negotiations across multiple jurisdictions.
