Senior Software Engineer – Java Backend Developer

About the role

Join Mastercard's Operations & Technology – Fraud Products team to design and build high‑performance Java backend solutions for the Decision Management Platform. You will help protect millions of transactions worldwide by delivering scalable fraud‑prevention capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality Java software and own the full SDLC from requirements to release.
• Collaborate with technical leads on design, architecture, and implementation.
• Provide production support as a Subject Matter Expert, resolving incidents and problem tickets.
• Lead day‑to‑day development activities to meet Service Level Agreements.
• Drive innovation, cost‑effectiveness, and faster time‑to‑market.
• Participate in Proof of Concepts, vendor and technology selection.
• Conduct brown‑bag sessions, mentor team members, and improve processes.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage (unit, integration, performance) and perform quality reviews.
