Senior Software Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join our global team that supports education and electronic health record products. You will work on a stable, continuously‑improved platform, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Complete complex bug fixes and resolve technical issues.
• Translate product requirements into robust software designs.
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and conduct code reviews.
• Operate in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments while collaborating with stakeholders.
• Train and mentor entry‑level engineers as directed.
• Stay abreast of new technology developments.
• Design and work with complex data models.
• Mentor less‑senior developers on methodologies and optimization techniques.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong proficiency in data manipulation and optimization techniques.
• Solid understanding of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles.
• Experience with multiple data storage subsystems.
• Excellent communication skills with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Strong research skills and familiarity with industry best practices.
• Knowledge of test‑driven development.
