Senior Software Engineer - Ecommerce SFCC

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, test, integrate and operate enterprise ecommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) using the Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA). The role also provides technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers while ensuring high‑quality code delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, integrate and operate ecommerce solutions on SFCC using SFRA, owning complex implementation and code quality.
• Develop using ISML, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges, jobs, services, Page Designer, Slots and Business Manager administration, including site go‑live.
• Build full‑stack functionality with JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs and headless commerce.
• Own code quality through unit, functional and regression testing, code reviews and technical troubleshooting.
• Provide deployment support, production issue resolution and release reliability across CI/CD, optimizing web performance and CDN/caching.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, delivering on schedule.
• Support OMS/ERP/WMS and SFSC/SFMC integrations.
• Use Claude Code for AI‑assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ecommerce engineering experience, primarily on SFCC (Demandware) using SFRA.
• Strong proficiency in ISML, OCAPI/SCAPI, cartridges, jobs, services, Page Designer, Slots, Business Manager administration and Einstein, with SFCC site go‑live experience.
• Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, headless commerce, web performance, CDN/caching and CI/CD.
• Solid unit, functional and regression testing, code review and troubleshooting skills, with ability to mentor others.
• SFCC Architect Certificate required, plus experience with OMS/ERP/WMS and SFSC/SFMC integrations; familiarity with Claude Code.
