Senior Software Engineer – Authorization (Remote, India)

About the role

JumpCloud is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join its growing development teams. You will work across the full technology stack, from operating‑system internals to SaaS front‑end code, using modern tools such as Go, Node, Docker, ELK Stack, and Redis. The role is fully remote within India.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure Go, NodeJS, or Python services with strong performance and low latency.
• Design automated test cases for new and legacy services, and champion CI/CD gates to enforce quality.
• Partner with Product Management and UX across time zones to refine requirements and align the engineering roadmap with business value.
• Define alerts and runbooks to enable zero‑downtime deployments and support on‑call responsibilities.
• Promote automated tooling and AI‑assisted development (code generation, test generation, dependency tracing).

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex, production‑grade products.
• Proficiency in Go, NodeJS, and/or Python with willingness to learn VueJS for full‑stack work.
• Deep understanding of Auth/IAM protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and IAM systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and cloud concepts.
• Strong ability to thrive in a distributed, asynchronous team environment.
