Senior Software Developer

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a Senior Software Developer to lead the design, development and validation of advanced simulation software. You will own architectural decisions, drive Agile delivery, and mentor a high‑performing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Specify, design, develop and validate sophisticated simulation software, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
• Make primary architectural decisions to keep the system scalable, modular and high‑performing.
• Lead a team of engineers, enforce clean‑code standards, and manage sprint planning and product road‑mapping.
• Maintain Git repositories, monitor commits for architectural integrity, and track delivery KPIs.
• Identify technical or timeline risks, implement mitigation strategies and provide transparent progress reporting.

Required profile

• B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Control.
• 5‑10 years of software design and development experience with proven technical leadership.
• Ability to conduct training sessions on tools and frameworks.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in at least two of: Java, C#, C++, Python.
• Deep knowledge of design patterns, OOP, multithreading for high‑concurrency environments.
• Experience with databases such as H2, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Angular or Node.js.
• Scripting in Python and JavaScript.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation, DevOps culture and automated testing.
• Understanding of real‑time vs non‑real‑time scheduling, process synchronization and software virtualization.
