Senior SOC Analyst

About the role

Moonpay is looking for a Senior SOC Analyst to lead its Security Operations Center in Bengaluru. You will protect the organization against security threats, mentor the SOC team, and drive operational excellence across a 24×7 rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time security alerts, investigate suspicious network, endpoint, and cloud activity using SIEM queries and threat‑analysis tools.
• Lead incident investigations for complex or critical cases, document and escalate incidents according to playbooks.
• Analyze and remediate email‑based threats, manage endpoint security through EDR workflows and MDM policies.
• Provide real‑time guidance, coaching, and mentorship to SOC analysts during case handling.
• Maintain shift schedules, ensure 24×7 coverage, and optimize workload distribution.
• Document incidents, create runbooks, and share threat‑trend knowledge with the team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a SOC, security monitoring, incident‑response, or threat‑analysis role.
• Proven ability to investigate advanced‑threat scenarios such as data exfiltration, lateral movement, and credential harvesting.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a focus on developing junior analysts.
• Excellent communication and documentation discipline for incident summaries and runbooks.
• Experience managing shift schedules or on‑call rotations.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms and threat‑analysis tools.
• Email security analysis, phishing and malware remediation.
• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) workflows.
• Okta for SSO/authentication administration.
• Familiarity with tools such as Google SecOps, DoControl, Code42, Cloudflare email security, CrowdStrike Falcon, incident.io.
