Senior Security Analyst

About the role

Cyderes is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join its Managed Detection & Response (MDR) team. The role involves deep‑dive investigations of security threats, mapping incidents to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and delivering actionable recommendations to clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior security analysts while providing guidance on investigations.
• Perform advanced assessments and investigations across endpoints, servers, and networks.
• Coordinate incident investigations, conduct deep‑dive analysis, and document findings.
• Map custom use cases to MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques.
• Update runbooks, documentation, and recommendations to reduce repeat alerts.
• Analyze raw log data and SIEM alerts to identify indicators of compromise.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the evolving threat landscape.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive IT security experience, with at least three years in a senior role.
• Hands‑on experience with leading SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronical).
• Proficiency with endpoint detection and response tools such as Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, or CrowdStrike.
• Strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and ability to map detections to tactics and techniques.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, SC‑200) and basic cloud security fundamentals.

• SIEM platforms: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronical.
• EDR tools: Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike.
• SIEM query languages: KQL, SPL.
• MITRE ATT&CK framework mapping.
• SOAR platforms: Siemplify, FortiSOAR.
• Phishing and email header analysis.
• SOC and Incident Response processes.
• SIEM content management and alert tuning.
• Basic scripting or development (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
