Senior SDET – AI Cluster Networking & Security

About the role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test you will drive testing excellence for Cerebras' AI cluster infrastructure, ensuring ultra‑high reliability and performance across thousands of nodes.

Key responsibilities

• Innovate and execute test strategies for large‑scale AI clusters to achieve 99.999% reliability.
• Automate testing across hardware and software components, targeting 100% automated coverage for high‑availability, failure, performance, stress and security scenarios.
• Validate cluster software stack including Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana, as well as hardware such as wafer‑scale accelerators, high‑speed interconnects and networking switches.
• Qualify networking solutions from multiple vendors and assess security features, OS hardening, cloud compliance and user‑access controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI or related field.
• 10+ years of testing experience in enterprise software, distributed systems or datacenter hardware/software.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale cloud networking, high‑speed switches/routers and network test equipment (e.g., Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Ixia/Spirent).
• Strong debugging skills using tools such as gdb, strace and network monitors.

• Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus.
• Networking: BGP, ECN, PFC, PCIe, high‑speed interconnects.
• Cloud platforms: AWS.
