Senior R&D Engineer – Product Development

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a senior R&D professional to lead the design, development and deployment of innovative web and cloud applications for its product portfolio. Based in Bangalore, you will work with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior developers while driving technology advancements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy high‑quality web and cloud‑based software solutions using multiple programming languages and tools.
• Define and implement architectural designs that align with business objectives and industry standards.
• Collaborate with diverse technology teams to build robust frameworks, micro‑services and serverless components.
• Lead release planning, provide timeline inputs and guide junior team members throughout the development lifecycle.
• Modernise legacy systems by migrating them to modern platforms and cloud services.
• Conduct code reviews, implement unit and integration tests, debug issues and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of full‑stack software development experience.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and manage complex projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• C# with Web API and RESTful services.
• SQL and SQLite databases.
• JavaScript frameworks: Angular (v13+), React, jQuery.
• Front‑end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript.
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, serverless architectures, micro‑services.
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices.
• Performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6.
• Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
