Senior Python Developer – AI & Cloud Backend

About the role

You will join Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice as a Senior Python Developer, focusing on building high‑performance backend systems and AI‑enabled solutions for clients in the electrification and AI domain. The role blends software engineering excellence with cloud‑native and machine‑learning integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Integrate Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI models into production environments.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Ensure software quality, scalability, observability, and adherence to DevOps best practices.
• Participate in architecture decisions for cloud‑native applications on AWS or Azure.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Python development experience.
• Strong grasp of Object‑Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Proven experience building backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrating AI/ML models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Git, and MLOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker/Bedrock or Azure ML Studio/OpenAI Service).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within cross‑functional teams.
