Senior Purchase Executive

About the role

The Senior Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, components, and supplies essential to manufacturing operations. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality materials to support production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers for direct materials.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve supply issues.
• Prepare and process purchase orders based on production needs and inventory levels.
• Monitor order status, track deliveries, and address discrepancies such as delays or quality concerns.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and reconcile variances.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and availability to inform procurement strategy.
• Implement cost‑saving initiatives and report on procurement metrics.
• Ensure all purchased materials meet specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits to verify compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proactive, multi‑tasking, and strong decision‑making abilities.
• Leadership, time‑management, and analytical skills.
• Experience with SAP is mandatory; knowledge of SEZ laws and GST/import procedures is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Excel and inventory control.
