Senior Project Manager – Banking Digital Transformation

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead multiple high‑impact projects in the banking sector, driving digital transformation, core banking upgrades, and compliance initiatives. You will own the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget while aligning with strategic business goals and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Act as primary liaison for executive sponsors, business heads, technical teams, vendors and regulators.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with internal audit and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional teams of analysts, developers, testers and third‑party vendors.
• Provide regular updates to steering committees and senior executives.
• Define and execute change‑management plans and oversee vendor contract compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field; MCA or equivalent.
• 10–12 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record delivering multiple projects worth more than one crore.
• Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner.
