Senior Product Manager II, Managed Databases (PostgreSQL)

About the role

DigitalOcean is looking for a senior product leader to own the roadmap, development and execution of its Managed Databases (PostgreSQL) offering. You will shape the product’s evolution for both traditional OLTP and emerging AI workloads while ensuring reliability and simplicity for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the product roadmap for Managed PostgreSQL, covering provisioning, deployment, reliability, performance and pricing.
• Conduct market analysis on database trends, competitive offerings and emerging technologies to shape product direction.
• Collaborate with leadership, engineering, infrastructure and go‑to‑market teams to design and deliver solutions for OLTP and AI workloads.
• Gather and prioritize customer feedback to improve provisioning, scaling and day‑two operations.
• Partner with capacity planning, solutions architecture and GTM teams to launch and manage the product lifecycle.
• Use data‑driven metrics to evaluate utilization, reliability and deployment velocity and inform strategic decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience with cloud database products, preferably owning PostgreSQL offerings.
• Deep technical knowledge of relational databases and their use in both transactional and AI/ML applications.
• Proven ability to take database features from concept to large‑scale deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to remove obstacles that block value delivery.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven decision‑making approach, especially around capacity, scaling and pricing.
• Effective leadership and cross‑functional communication to drive consensus across technical and business teams.
