Senior Plumbing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and documentation of plumbing systems across residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure code‑compliant, efficient, and constructible solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design domestic cold and hot water distribution systems.
• Design sanitary drainage, waste, vent, and storm drainage systems.
• Prepare plumbing layouts, riser diagrams, isometric drawings, and equipment schedules.
• Perform plumbing fixture unit calculations, pipe sizing, water demand, and drainage calculations in accordance with applicable codes.
• Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
• Develop construction documents, including plans, details, specifications, and plumbing schedules.
• Select plumbing equipment such as water heaters, pumps, pressure‑reducing valves, backflow preventers, grease interceptors, sump pumps, and sewage ejector systems.
• Review architectural drawings and project specifications to ensure proper integration of plumbing systems.
• Participate in design coordination meetings with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, International Plumbing Code (IPC), Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), and other regulations.
• Perform quality control reviews of drawings and calculations before submission.
• Prepare permit and tender documentation and assist during authority review processes.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of relevant plumbing design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; exposure to Revit MEP/BIM is a plus.
• Basic understanding of building codes and standards.
• Eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail, and effective coordination skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
