Senior Payments Executive – Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Senior Payments Executive to build and lead the operation in the Mumbai‑Goregaon territory. You will be responsible for assembling a high‑performing team, driving QR and POS deployments, and growing merchant volume.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) and ensure their productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and lead QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels, establish relationships with key decision‑makers and expand business coverage.
• Manage channel relationships, drive sales targets, and oversee retailer payment reconciliation.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.
• Maintain visibility at points of sale and activate stores on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (MBA 1‑4 years or Graduate 3‑6 years acceptable).
• Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy for field work.
• Self‑starter with a passion for meeting retailers.
