Senior MS SQL Database Administrator

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior MS SQL Database Administrator to join its Bangalore team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical SQL Server environments supporting global applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SQL Server instances, including backup, recovery, and security.
• Implement and support high‑availability solutions such as AlwaysOn, DAG, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Plan and execute migrations of databases to Azure, GCP, and AWS cloud platforms.
• Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and optimisation for large‑scale databases (terabytes of data).
• Develop and maintain MSBI solutions (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS) and Power BI reports.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Linux scripts, and container technologies.
• Collaborate with international teams and follow ITIL change‑management processes.

Required profile

• B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent technical degree.
• 5‑9 years of hands‑on experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Proven experience with cloud migrations (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
