Senior Mobile iOS Engineer

About the role

Atlassian's Audit Platform and Guard is the security and data-governance layer for its products, giving admins centralized controls and visibility to keep sensitive data secure and compliant. The company is looking for a Senior Mobile iOS Engineer to build native iOS apps that let customers monitor activity, investigate issues and stay in control wherever they are. The position is listed as full-time and remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship iOS features in Swift, writing clean, test-driven code.
• Turn UX/UI designs into intuitive, accessible iOS interfaces.
• Optimize app performance (launch time, memory footprint, network efficiency) and ensure reliability through crash monitoring and robust error handling.
• Work with backend, platform and web teams to keep feature parity and consistent behaviour across platforms.
• Handle sensitive customer data responsibly, with security and privacy built in from the start.
• Maintain high test coverage with unit, integration and UI tests (XCTest, XCUITest), run code reviews and contribute to technical direction.
• Step beyond iOS when needed to contribute to Atlassian's frontend web stack.

Required profile

• 7+ years of native iOS development with Swift; Android experience is a plus but not required.
• Security- and privacy-conscious approach to sensitive data.
• Excellent collaboration and communication in a distributed, cross-functional environment.
• Passion for solving complex problems and delivering performant, user-centric solutions.

Required skills

• Strong grasp of iOS architecture patterns, REST/GraphQL APIs and push notifications (APNs).
• CI/CD for iOS (Fastlane, Bitrise) and automated testing pipelines.
• XCTest and XCUITest.
• Nice to have: evaluating and adopting new iOS technologies, using analytics data for architecture or UI decisions, and experience with modern iOS libraries and components.
