Senior Manager, Data Science

About the role

Lead the hands‑on delivery of complex data science problems across global programs, turning data pipelines and models into production‑ready products. Mentor data scientists and ML engineers while building reusable solutions for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end data science projects from framing and data readiness through modeling, deployment, and product integration.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines, models, and evaluation methods that operate in production.
• Write production‑grade code, conduct code reviews, and improve testing, monitoring, and model quality.
• Build reusable libraries and packages to simplify integration of data science capabilities across products.
• Collaborate with engineers and global program teams to embed models and data products into real applications and workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 8+ years of applied data science experience with hands‑on technical leadership and production delivery.

Required skills

• Expert level in Python and the data‑science software ecosystem.
• Expert in applied statistics, modeling, and rigorous evaluation.
• Advanced skills in data pipelines, production ML, and model deployment.
• Advanced ability to write production‑quality code, testing, code review, and reusable package design.
• Expert in AI‑assisted coding workflows and coding agents such as Codex.
• Advanced technical mentorship and communication.
• Intermediate experience with Azure and Databricks environments (preferred).
• Advanced open‑source contribution and reusable package development (preferred).
• Advanced experience in optimization, forecasting, experimentation, or generative AI (preferred).
