Senior M&A/Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior M&A/Corporate Legal Counsel will be based in India and will support complex global legal initiatives within a fast‑growing technology and digital‑assets environment. The role combines sophisticated legal expertise with commercial awareness to influence strategic decisions across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate legal strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide proactive, commercially focused legal advice on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and global restructuring.
• Draft, review, negotiate and interpret legal agreements and corporate documentation, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and recommend solutions that protect business interests while enabling growth.
• Support corporate governance activities such as board matters, entity management and internal organizational arrangements.
• Partner with cross‑functional and regional teams to resolve legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage external legal communications and negotiations with third parties when required.
• Develop legal guidance, training materials and awareness programs for internal teams.
• Monitor legal developments and ensure regulatory changes are incorporated into business practices.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.
• Minimum 8 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate law, M&A and governance.
• Proven ability to manage high‑impact projects in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Strong legal judgment, commercial understanding and excellent communication skills.
