Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Wipro is seeking an In‑house Legal Counsel to support its Partner Ecosystem. You will work closely with business teams and senior stakeholders to draft, review and negotiate a wide range of strategic partner agreements, ensuring the company’s interests are protected.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate software license agreements, cloud and hosting contracts, IT infrastructure and development agreements.
• Handle IP licences, online advertising/marketing agreements, ISDA, construction, property, treasury and structured finance documents.
• Negotiate hardware purchase, leasing, staffing, collaboration and non‑disclosure agreements, as well as bank guarantees.
• Provide legal advice on data‑protection, cross‑border transactions and compliance issues.
• Maintain regular communication with key business stakeholders and opposing counsel.

Required profile

• 10 months to 1.2 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good academic credentials.
• Ability to understand software licence compliance, including open‑source and SaaS/IAAS/PAAS copyright matters.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating software licence agreements and IT services contracts.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
• Knowledge of data‑protection and cross‑border legal issues.
