Senior Lead – Control Testing Automation & Transformation

About the role

As a Senior Lead, Automation Implementation in Group Technology’s Control Testing Squad, you will drive ANZ’s automation strategy, uplift capability and improve future‑state processes for control testing. You will coordinate delivery, governance and reporting across technology and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of automation implementation, manage team cadences, set priorities and ensure execution meets program objectives.
• Manage scope, align requirements, process changes and solution design with business outcomes while proactively addressing risks and dependencies.
• Drive clarity across processes and customer/staff experiences, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Lead project governance and reporting, actively managing risks, issues and dependencies with strong documentation discipline.
• Apply technology awareness to support solution discussions and enable informed decisions between business and technical delivery.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of automation and control testing methodologies, including design and operating‑effectiveness assessment.
• Strong knowledge of non‑financial risk frameworks, risk obligations and regulatory standards.
• Advanced capability in data analytics and automation tools to support scalable, efficient control testing.
• Familiarity with governance, risk and audit reporting requirements.
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement of control testing methodologies, tools and practices.
• Exposure to regulatory change, remediation activity or broader control‑uplift programmes.
