Senior Identity Engineer

About the role

ANZ Banking Group is seeking a Senior Identity Engineer to join its Workforce Authentication Squad within the Cyber Security Operations Centre. The role focuses on designing, implementing and operating enterprise‑scale identity solutions that secure access to applications across cloud, on‑premise and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute technical strategy and architecture for IAM solutions in the technology area.
• Design and enhance authentication and integration patterns using modern open‑standard frameworks.
• Lead application onboarding to the Ping Identity suite (PingAccess, PingFederate, Ping Directory, Ping Directory Proxy) for SSO, MFA and STS.
• Develop custom IdP adapters, plugins and other components within Ping Identity stacks.
• Automate IAM deployments using CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, compliant and cost‑effective while managing technical debt and security posture.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in Identity and Access Management.
• Strong expertise with Ping Identity products (Ping Access, Ping Federate, Ping Directory, Ping Directory Proxy) in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience onboarding applications for SSO, MFA and STS.
• Deep knowledge of authentication standards such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SPIFFE/SPIRE.
