Python Backend Developer

About the role

Deliver well‑scoped backend features, endpoints, services, database integration and tests while growing into a strong engineer on a technically demanding platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build supporting backend features such as reference data management, configuration surfaces, lookup and search services, and administrative functions.
• Implement REST APIs following established patterns for schemas, validation and error handling.
• Write and verify SQL behind your own endpoints.
• Handle database integration including ORM mapping, session and transaction usage.
• Build reference data loaders and validation for straightforward feeds.
• Write automated tests for the code delivered.
• Create operational scripts for reconciliation checks, backfills and test data generation.
• Investigate defects in your areas: reproduce, isolate, propose solutions and verify fixes.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of professional Python backend development experience.
• Educational qualification: MCA, B.E., B.Tech or MTech.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL development, understanding transaction guarantees.
• Ability to navigate an unfamiliar codebase and work from specifications.
