Senior Hardware Engineer – Automotive ECU Development

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead the development of electronic control units (ECUs) for automotive applications at our Coimbatore facility. The role involves end‑to‑end hardware design, from concept analysis through to testing and documentation, ensuring compliance with functional safety and EMC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and define hardware concepts for automotive ECUs.
• Design and develop modules/ECUs, including worst‑case calculations and simulations.
• Create schematics, bill of materials and coordinate PCB layout.
• Collaborate with the plant for sample development and coordinate testing activities.
• Prepare test plans, execute ECU and EMC tests, and manage test documentation.
• Maintain project documentation in line with defined processes, including DFMEA and functional safety coordination.

Required profile

• B.E. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 6–9 years of experience in automotive hardware development.
• Proven ability to work on complex ECU projects and lead cross‑functional teams.
