Senior Hardware Design Specialist for Controllers for Off‑Road Machines

About the role

The Senior Hardware Design Specialist will lead the development of electronic controllers for off‑road machines, ensuring robust performance across demanding environments. You will work within Bosch’s global software and hardware engineering ecosystem, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality ECU solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design digital, analog and power circuits for controller ECUs, including sensor and HMI interfaces.
• Select components, prepare BOMs, perform thermal calculations and run SPICE simulations.
• Conduct board bring‑up, testing and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters and logic analyzers.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, create hardware design documents, test plans and reports.
• Collaborate with mechanics, PCB layout, sample shop and series‑launch teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance.

Required profile

• BE/B‑Tech/ME/M‑Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation.
• 7‑10 years of experience in electronic hardware design and integration, preferably in PS ECU development for automotive applications.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information effectively.

Required skills

• Digital, analog and power circuit design.
• Sensor and HMI hardware development.
• Component selection, BOM preparation, thermal analysis and SPICE simulation.
• Board bring‑up, test & measurement (oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, logic analyzer).
• Automotive hardware development processes, requirement analysis, worst‑case analysis, FMEA, FMEDA and failure analysis (PSS, CAR, 8D).
• Familiarity with eADM and requirements‑management tools such as DOORS.
