Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer – Network Services

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join its Network team. You will help shape the customer experience by building secure, scalable, and high‑performing services that power digital payments worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver full‑stack solutions using Java, Python, Node.js for the backend and React.js for the frontend.
• Create and maintain public and private REST APIs for networked services such as CDNs, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
• Collaborate with product, design, security, and platform teams; mentor engineers and enforce OWASP/CWE security standards.
• Document architecture decisions, runbooks, API specifications, and system diagrams; share knowledge through reviews and tech talks.
• Ensure scalability and reliability through clean architecture, domain modeling, performance tuning, capacity planning, and SLO definition.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; adopt TDD where appropriate.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, implementing blue/green and canary deployments.
• Automate operations with Chef for configuration management and repeatable deployments.
• Monitor production services, analyze logs/metrics/traces, lead incident response, and implement durable fixes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and secure coding practices.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI layers, TCP/HTTP, DNS, DHCP, IP address management).
