Senior Frontend Developer (AI Enthusiast)

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join its Digital Engineering team in Bangalore (remote work possible). You will collaborate with product, UX, backend and AI specialists to build modern enterprise web applications that support global commercial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using React, Angular or Next.js.
• Work within Agile Scrum teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable frontend solutions.
• Partner with product owners, UX designers, backend engineers and QA throughout the product lifecycle.
• Build reusable, maintainable and high‑performance UI components.
• Ensure applications are responsive, cross‑browser and cross‑device compatible.
• Participate in architecture, design and code reviews.
• Explore and adopt modern engineering practices, including AI‑assisted development where appropriate.
• Own features from design through production support.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React, Angular or Next.js.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, web security principles and object‑oriented design.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
• Background building complex business applications (e.g., SaaS, CRM, ERP, e‑commerce).
• Experience applying AI technologies in software engineering or product development is highly preferred.
