Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

UiPath is hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in Bangalore to work directly with customers and design and deploy agentic, AI-powered workflows that transform how businesses operate. It is a highly technical, customer-facing role for engineers who enjoy building in real-world environments, turning ambiguous problems into production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications and multi-agent workflows in production environments.
• Design end-to-end solutions integrating APIs, enterprise systems and data platforms.
• Partner with customers to turn business problems into scalable AI and RPA solutions.
• Own delivery from prototype to production and iteration, anticipating risks and communicating trade-offs and timelines.
• Optimize systems for performance, cost and reliability, and extend platform functionality with APIs, SDKs, connectors and custom integrations.
• Lead high-impact technical workstreams in strategic customer engagements and mentor engineers.
• Share reusable patterns, influence product direction and partner with Product, Engineering, Sales and Customer Success.

Required profile

• 5-8+ years of software engineering experience, including applied or customer-facing work.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and move quickly from idea to production.
• Customer-facing experience managing technical risks, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to reusable assets and technical standards.
• Travel of about 20-30% to customer sites.

Required skills

• Strong coding in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and production AI systems.
• Experience building and deploying complex, integrated systems.
• Preferred: PhD or Master's in CS or a related field; agent frameworks, orchestration or distributed systems; familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini; background in applied AI, ML or automation platforms; experience in startups, consulting or forward-deployed settings.
