Senior Finance Assistant

About the role

The Senior Finance Assistant will support Emirates' finance operations in Mumbai by processing and reconciling financial transactions using Oracle Financials. The role ensures timely handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales‑related invoicing while maintaining high accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile transactions in Oracle Financials, covering AP and AR modules.
• Check and reconcile Counter Sales & Refund Reports from EK sales counters.
• Generate sales invoices via the invoice capture system and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Dispatch required documentation to the Head Office and manage correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
• Update daily bank statements in the accounting system and perform related reconciliations.
• Review agents' accounts in Oracle Finance, clearing unallocated items and reporting to the line manager.
• Reconcile BSP and CASS sales/refund figures and perform ticket refund cross‑checks.
• Process chargeback requests and handle month‑/year‑end accounting routines.

Required profile

• Graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a basic accounting role.
• Right to live and work in India.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of airline fares and ticketing is a plus.
